Michelle Nia is a Chicago based knitwear designer and maker creating colourful and timeless pieces inspired by her inner world.

Taking references from cinematography in movies, Michelle’s collections each display strong monochromatic colour palettes. She believes colour can express a lot of emotion and tries to pay attention to the mood that colour and her garments give off.

Using primarily second hand materials, each piece is unique and one of its kind, made with the intention to last. Michelle aims to take simple shapes and figure out how to make them special.
