Lucy Evans’ work references finding humour in the mundane aspects of everyday life and merging together ideas of class, politics and pop culture in order to create raw and humorous mixed media work which is able to serve as a form of escapism.

The main objective of Lucy’s art is to try inject the fun back into art and fashion, this is her way of pushing against notions of classism and elitism that she has previously experienced as a working class creative.

Lucy’s work is mostly made up of mixed media collages that are created using magazine and newspaper clippings but she also experiment with photography and screen printing.
