  • A New Formatic is a project for low-impact design and technological harmony. Launched by London based female creator, Chloe, the project seeks technical innovation as a solution to waste and exploitation.

    A New Formatic products’s use raw materials based on a consideration for their impact on the planet by reviewing materials lifecycles. The ‘Tech Mitten’ is created using a fusion of traditional and modern knitting techniques that prevent waste whilst the design caters for current ergonomic needs.

  • Alisa Cayoo is a creative practitioner based in Georgia. Her work ranges across the disciplines of jewellery, fashion and accessories. Alisa explores the boundaries of wearable art in her unique creations, inspired by futuristic elements and particularly cyberfeminism .

    Alisa’s jewellery is created using unusually upcycled pieces. She draws on influences from futuristic elements and movies and uses this to push the ‘norm’ beyond society's expectations in wearable accessories.

  • AMIIBARI is an independent knitwear brand created consciously by Isabel Andaya in Sacramento, California. Isabel seeks to urge others to buy from small businesses like AMIIBARI in efforts to reduce fast fashion waste.

    AMIIBARI is an ever-evolving idea that constantly builds on the maker's dream to spread positivity through handknit pieces. AMIIBARI draws its inspiration from Japanese fashion and grunge style, as well as archive hand knits all of which stem from Isabel's love for couture.

    Edie creates these bold pieces with a sustainable focus and makes weekly charity donations to BLM and Abortion Funds.

  • Blissesc is a female led jewellery brand that creates one-off pieces. From Singapore and now based in London, the brand’s ethos is centred around eco-friendly craft produced in small batches from unwanted items that would otherwise go to waste.

    Ky creates these unique pieces as a means of escapism from reality and its current disposable nature.

    Z’s collages encourage the audience to question taboo’s around the nude human body, challenging their perceptions of sexuality and the preconceived notions towards erotic artwork.

  • Princessplastik is led by creative Milli in London. The brand was born out of Milli’s love to create things with her surrounding objects.

    Milli’s passion for collecting toys, her love for carboot sales and turning discarded objects into things you can wear inspires her work. Princessplastik aims to give new life to second hand objects whilst offering creator Milli a therapeutic craft practice.

  • Iscreamcolour is San Diego based Humberto, working in mixed-media Humberto creates lively artwork using pastels, markers and spray paints that are applied to a variety of products including clothing and paper.

    Inspired by pop culture, fashion and colour his vibrant graphic slogans and prints create a powerful positive energy and sense of spontaneity, fun and fantasy.

    Amelia creates unique accessories through a process of reworking that aims to avoid waste in a bid to oppose the throwaway culture of the fast-fashion industry.

  • Juicy Chews was founded during the pandemic lockdown from home by Nell and Austin. The brand's classic resin rings have since expanded to various exciting accessories and in silver.

    Juicy chews are lovingly handcrafted in London meaning each piece is totally unique to the wearer. They represent cultivating one’s limitless imagination and ideas blooming. Their quirky silhouettes and bold colourways are inspired by anything from film and music to folklore and the internet.

  • Scarzzt, born in 2017, is a one-man-show created by Scarlett. The brand specialises in deluxe, stop and stare in the street graphic tees.

    Scarlett's way of designing is all about using words, feelings, and stories as the starting point. Then, she lets the visuals flow from there, adding lots of hidden meanings into what she creates. Her ideas often come from her family's old antique store. Her mom would find letters and paintings from young people who lived in the 1800s, these pieces ended up inspiring Scarlett's work.

    Scarzzt’s focus is on sustainable production. For pieces such as t-shirts and hoodies, they use a Manchester supplier that uses vegan ink, waterless printing methods and organic cotton. Other items are handmade in London using dead stock fabrics. In the past year, the brand has also began printing onto second hand sourced pieces.

  • Kat Rose Loves You was founded in 2021 by London based Kat Rose. Producing reworked garments with her illustrations including dresses, jeans and handbags; Kat has created a label for daydreamers.

    Kat creates upcycled pieces through combining vintage finds with her doodle-like drawings exploring quirky, colourful worlds of her own imagination.

  • Louisa Haban is a female fine artist based in London, celebrating the female form through her work Louisa draws on medieval and folkloric imagery to fabricate worlds that meditate upon higher powers.

    Louisa's practice stems from a fondness for the fantastical, often blending nature and magic realism against female empowerment and spiritual concepts. Her work seeks to question the societies we live in by depicting alternate dimensions where civilisations are all female-led.

  • Lucy Evans is an image maker based in Manchester, adopting a ‘magpie philosophy’, her work is produced through the use of found objects and materials, which are scavenged from renaissance art books, fashion magazines, newspaper articles and postcards found at flea markets.

    Lucy combines photography and mixed media collage to create graphics that possess a strong sense of surrealism, satire and playful contradiction, often with an underlying flirtatiousness.

  • Maldonado was born after years of working in fashion, amongst broken production systems. The brand is an invitation to customers to question what they are buying and a means of redefining the industry’s toxic supply chain.

    Based in Berlin, Maldonado is led by a one-woman team, Latina creator Camila. All Maldonado garments are made on a small scale from deadstock fabrics and screen printed in house to revive forgotten textiles creating conscious, one-off pieces.

  • Michelle Nia is a Chicago based knitwear designer and maker creating colourful and timeless pieces inspired by her inner world.

    Taking references from cinematography in movies, Michelle’s collections each display strong monochromatic colour palettes. Using primarily second hand materials, each piece is unique and one of its kind, made with the intention to last.

  • Favorite Child Collective is a Barcelona based brand founded by Eva. The brand makes referential clothing inspired by pop culture and the escapism it provides.

    Eva wants to deepen the experience we as a society have with pop culture. Through Favorite Child Collective, she makes it wearable, something you could grasp beyond a visual creation. That has been the backbone of the brand and what allows Eva to produce new collections every season.

    Though not originally from a fashion background, Eva has immersed herself into creation for the past 2 years. She has learned by doing, asking, going to local factories and watching tutorials online, and now is successfully running and operating a fashion business, completely alone.

  • Frog Fairy Jewelry is a brand created by Karina Shuen based in Vancouver, Canada. She creates whimsical jewellery and accessories inspired by elements of nature and pop culture. Her designs are made with beads sourced from other small business and secondhand stores.

    During the pandemic, Karina began to get more into fashion and sewing as she loved the idea of being able to wear what you create. Many of her different hobbies required a lot of practice to improve but when she discovered jewellery making, it came natural to her.

  • Olivia M Healy is a London based illustration artist. Her work explores themes of power and wisdom in the form of elegantly curvy and bold figures in bright, concentrated colours.

    Olivia’s characters have a unique silhouette which embody strong connections to nature. Her work has seen briefs across the music, fashion, editorial and nightlife industry.

  • Pauline Mauruschat is a female multi-disciplinary artist based in West Germany. Creating anything from jewellery to small scale prints and larger 3D sculptures, Pauline’s work comes in a variety of interesting forms.

    Pauline’s art sees repetitive imagery of animals and nature, particularly horses that embed a powerful and continuous symbolism throughout her work. Her inner child influences much of her creations particularly in her choice of colours and imagery that further demonstrate traits of surrealism.

  • Tit4Tats is an independent London based womenswear brand that was founded in 2021. Made on a small scale, each garment is currently hand crafted by female maker Tatjana from her room.

    Tit4Tats batch production means each garment is exclusive, something Tatjana prioritises inorder to make her customers feel special in her pieces. Her designs focus heavily on the body. Themes revolve around utilising cut outs and skin-tight silhouettes to make each wearer feel sexy and confident.

    Sophie creates with the wearer in mind. Her popular knitted sleeves and leg warmers have previously seen design considerations for people with sensory disabilities.

  • Poppy Langridge is a jewellery designer and sculpture student based in Glasgow. Her works are inspired by pop culture today as well as the more nostalgic works of the music and film industry.

    Poppy creates one-off, ethereal designs using materials including glass, semi-precious stones and freshwater pearls. Her works capture a sense of mystique and fantasy.

  • Posh and Pearls is an elegant jewelry brand run by a team of two females based in Barcelona, what started as a creative outlet soon became the Posh and Pearls brand after founder Nina quit the corporate industry.

    Nina and Ewa create slow made body chains and jewellery inspired by Nina’s mum and her inner passion for creativity and handcrafts.

    Her practice is focused around transparency of her manufacturing and supply chains.

  • SHOP DIRT is a Bali based brand led by Andrea and Sarah, designing wardrobe classics with an unsuspecting, modern twist. Creating from a range of interesting references and meeting the need to fit in with the fashion calendar community and creative expression is at the heart of the brand.

    DIRT is produced with sustainability in mind. All manufacturing of their products is completed by family-owned businesses on a small production scale to reduce overproduction.

  • EMRLD studied contour fashion design at university where her work has evolved from lingerie. Run by designer and maker Isobel, the brand’s concept is to create quality going-out pieces that can be worn by bigger busts. Isobel utilises materials that have stretch and recovery to support women of all sizes.

    Inspired by y2k fashion, EMRLD pieces reference vintage cuts and details whilst sporting Isobel’s love of bright colours. The majority of materials used throughout her collections are also deadstock informing many design decisions for her pieces.

  • Shop Tortures is a UK based jewellery brand that was founded in 2020. Created from ethically sourced, quality materials the brand’s mission is to create unique, wearable accessories to last a lifetime.

    Shop Tortures sources materials from small businesses, vintage marketplaces and thrift stores making each piece individual to the wearer. All pieces are made to be allergy friendly.

  • Snake Divine is a female led brand by mix-media designer Rebecca based in Kassel, Germany. Rebecca sources fabric from local business’ and deadstock proposing a more circular fashion model.

    Rebecca works across a multitude of mediums, particularly taking inspiration from her tattoo designs. Combined with ideas of mythology, sci-fi dreams and nature her approach is personal.

    Jess’ garments redefine sexy. Her experience of growing up in Thailand and living in England where female’s societal dress codes can be very oppressive inspires her liberating collections.

  • Thingamajig Objects was founded by artist Kristen Chiu as an homage to objects and the spaces in which they hold. Based in New York City, all pieces are handmade with the intention of exploring memories from objects whilst capturing their relation with vessels that witness them.

    Kristen creates symbolic, wearable sculptures to aid people towards alignment through the sharing and rekindling of objects.

  • Tooth Candy by Chlo was founded in 2018 by Chloe. Her inspiration for Tooth Candy lies within giving people a smile they can admire. Tooth Candy allowed Chloe to connect with more young creatives at shoots and pop-ups, enabling her to trial new gems and designs.

    Chloe Stacey started the brand in Manchester alongside completing her degree in Fashion Design. Collaboration has been crucial to her business and has opened up many opportunities whilst working with like minded creatives and supporting their crafts. Chloe’s Tooth Candy uplifts people's confidence with icy jewellery on their teeth.

  • Yaduga is run by Glasgow based nail artist Juliette. Her designs are a means of expression allowing people to show their true selves and inner stories through nail art. Inspiration comes from curiosity into the inner self and how this can be reflected as something beautiful but also wearable.

    Juliette’s designs also take ideas from cartoons and movies. Combining individuals' background stories with fantastical thoughts and otherworldliness, she creates tiny yet elaborate narratives for everyday wear.

  • Yechan Jung is a Berlin based illustrator, producing colourful, fantasy artworks inspired by reminders of his childhood.

    Yechan draws on childhood lullabies once sung to him by his mum in his imagery and his fond memories of their coziness. His paintings bring to life personal daydreams of their sentiments in soft pastel palettes creating a strong sense of safety and warmth.

    Zebra Knits loves all things colour, pattern & comfort. Their designs combine the perfect mixture of bold colour palettes, clashing tones and funky patterns to create unique homeware accessories.

  • Jewellery that combines the sophistication of crystals with a glam rock aesthetic. Conceived in 2020 by Issy Williams, a jewellery designer and artist based in London. Issy takes inspiration from her family's history of jewellery making.

    Each piece is made from high-quality crystals. KISSESX offers a range of pieces as well as a custom design service. Issy is dedicated to ensuring that each customer receives a truly exceptional piece of jewellery.

  • Rosie Evans is Brighton based ‘High Fantasy’ luxury fashion label. Each design is either one-off or made on a small run. Created from upcycled old textiles and materials, her garments are created from the likes of 1950’s tablecloths, silk curtains, fabric scraps and food packaging tape.

    Inspired by her home in South Wales, Rosie Evans’ garments reference poets and artists of her homeland whilst creating a fantasy that combines historical costume with wearable 00s through an ethical fashion process.

  • Miriam Morris is a knitwear designer and creator based in North England. She only uses natural and second hand fibres to create one of a kind, freehand knits.

    Miriam’s approach to her craft shows an appreciation for slow fashion and craftsmanship creating one-of-one decadent pieces that she has hand knitted, dyed and beaded.

  • Barcelona based creator Mercedes started Merrfer Brand as a way to share her own vision to the world whilst also pursuing what she truly loves to do. Each piece is inspired by existing objects and materials and the means of using them to create something beautiful while preventing otherwise landfill.

    Mercedes is inspired by shapes and materials, particularly shiny materials. Merrfer brand creates pieces from Mercedes' imagination expressing her unique desires and style.

  • Hannah Glenn is a London based designer and creator of one-off bags. After working in the fashion industry for a few years, Hannah realised how wasteful and unethical the industry can be. Her brand therefore creates handmade pieces focused on the use of remnant fabrics from the fashion industry that would otherwise go to landfill.

    Each design is created on a limited run based on the volume of a deadstock material, meaning pieces are very unique and in some cases one-of-a-kind. Sustainability is key to the business and the brand follows conscious decisions through all its labelling and package as well.

  • Chloe Gibson’s brand is a one-woman show based at home, in a sleepy town in Wiltshire, England. Her love for sewing, cross stitching, and knitting plays homage to the influence of her Mother and Granny who she has taken inspiration from form a young age.

    Chloe finds joy in the technical process of making clothes, pattern cutting and construction. She is conscious of the fashion industries environmental impact and strives to make products which are made differently from fast fashion. All of her products are made with with preloved or dead stock fabrics and everything is made in small batches.

  • VAN LAU (劉君賢) Hong Kong born artist Van Lau paints under the name, The Joy of Cat Painting, in honour of the popular Bob Ross TV show.

    Her joyful and sometimes evil looking cats are inspired by her love of felines and horror stories.

FRECKLE FARM

  • Freckle Farm is run by Baltimore based creator Rosalie. After being taught by a friend to solder, Rosalie has been hooked on the craft. All glass and mirrors used in the intricate jewellery pieces are sourced from the streets of Baltimore, Maryland and otherwise from old stained glass scraps collected at estate sales.

    Freckle Farm uses a lot of second-hand beads. Rosalie’s aim is to strike a balance between being environmentally friendly and being a producer in a consumer market. Each accessorising piece is made with the hope of allowing the wearer to augment the way they want to present themself to the world and find joy in doing so.

  • Sharada Tolton draws dream-like worlds in colored pencil. Placing child and animal subjects in dense fantasy scenes, she illustrates an inner life of innocence in a sometimes gentle, sometimes violent natural world. Sharada pulls character inspiration from Henry Darger, Gerhard Munthe, and shoujo manga, while her botanical patterns borrow from medieval manuscripts and cross stitch.

    Originally from the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, Sharada now lives in Berkeley, California, where she draws and tattoos from her home. She is the cofounder of Neuro Fuzzy Press and editor and designer of Syms, a journal of visual art and writing about symbiosis. She has illustrated widely for fashion brands and musicians throughout Europe, Asia, and North America.

  • Izabella Wolf is an artist based in the countryside of Poland. Wolf creates in many forms but predominantly illustration and ceramics. Their practice gives them a means of realising dreams within their mind in an analog form whilst paying tribute to folk art.

    Izabella creates fantastical scenes filled with female figures, animals (especially goats) and details of the natural outdoors. Wolf’s creations are an homage to nature where they draw most of their inspiration from. Wolf’s illustrations are displayed across a multitude of surfaces including ceramics, tapestries and paper canvases.

  • Toni Agost is a Berlin based tattoo artist and creator.

    Her pieces range from clothing and accessories to homeware which are inspired by Toni's tattoo designs.

    Inspired by childhood nostalgia and early 2000s trends, Toni’s designs are fun, cute and quirky. All clothing pieces are printed by the artist in her studio in Berlin.

  • 'hollysworld' was created by Holly Kingsley who graduated from the University of Westminster Fashion Design BA in 2021. The brand is a visual narrative into Holly's mind that aims to blend the nuances between childhood and adulthood culture into a new anatomy of womenswear whilst creating a future nonchalant femininity.

    The brand forms visual cues from vintage lingerie garment details and silhouettes. Through each design, rebellious attitudes to control establish within the detailed chaos aside forms of soft romantic nostalgia. The hollysworld girl doesn’t take adult life too seriously, she would happily stomp around in pink ruffles whilst on her morning commute or completing mundane household tasks.

  • Byeanna is an independent designer who is focused on transforming materials that would normally be considered waste, into unique one-off bags. Anna creates all her pieces from her home studio in London using only donated clothing materials and recycled yarns.

    Anna started her practice in the 2020 lockdown; during a wardrobe clear-out she decided to recycle the materials into something completely new. Today she creates from recycled t-shirts, vintage Italian leather scraps and donated damaged jeans. Anna is open to working with different brands and individuals and experimenting with new materials to show that slow, sustainable fashion can fit current styles.
