MATTHIAS

There’s more to art and fashion than simply looking beautiful.

In these two tops, warm purple hues and cooler shades of blue are not only segments of Matthias’ artful masterpieces, but they also represent his profound outlook on life.

Whether you choose to adorn yourself in his “Curse of Love” corset top or the “Spring on the Other Side of Dark” (translated from French) long-sleeve top caught your eye, there’s something interesting for everyone to wear.

Step aside Disney, Matthias is here to make you reconsider the meaning of mermaids.

Based in Paris, Matthias draws inspiration from fairy tales and all things Hans Christian Andersen. His delicate paintings include natural scenery and charismatic human figures in a style he perfectly describes as “mermaid-ish and against-reality-ish”.

When evaluating how his art has progressed throughout the years, Matthias acknowledges that, as he ages and loses naivety in his personal life, he finds it incorporated into his work through “childish” figures.

“The Curse of Love” and “Spring on the Other Side of the Dark” (translated from French), Matthias’ pieces that inspired the Art Tops.
